Gardenia propagation

your man Darth has finished moving into his first home base! i have a lot of work cut out for me, but like some gen x’ers say, I’m super stoked. anyways, since i have these monstrous gardenias in my yard, I’m going to have to use them for bonsai. looks like regular jasminoides. i see a lot of reduced leaves. are airlayers and cuttings fairly easy with these guys? :vulcan_salute:

Congratulations! Looks like a great place.

I haven’t tried gardenia cuttings, but the propagation bible suggests that they root easily any time of year - even without hormones (though hormones will speed up the process). I’m looking forward to seeing some small gardenia starts!
