A friend of mine gave me some bristlecone pine seeds the other week and I want to grow one. Has anyone grown one and have tips and tricks for germination and growing? (I know it will take a long long time)
Pop them in the fridge for at least a few months, then sow them a quarter to half an inch deep, keep moist and warm. They’re just like any other pine seed. They actually grow quite fast under good conditions. Just take care not to prune too aggressively, they like to retain their needles much longer than most pines.
