How much are you watering this summer?

It’s been fairly warm by Bay Area standards lately (low 90s). Because it’s dry, I’ve been watering about twice a day and cooling the trees off another two times a day.

I’m setting smaller trees in larger containers with pumice to keep the trees cool and give the roots extra room. Am also using 30% shade cloth for most deciduous trees.

Would love hear to other strategies for dealing with the summer heat.

I use misting system around noon to cool down the temperature. It does help alot.
