Hi all
I’d like to share with you my another tree from my collection.
Originally tree was collected in 2010.
Main trunk was damage above first and the only branch, which later was trained as a new leader.
First photo show tree after first initial styling (sorry I didn’t have any photos before that).

Very nice progression, well done.

Very nice work Mateusz - it’s great to see the progress over time. Do you have any tips for us about how you develop larch?

I grow my larches in fully sun, fertilise with fully balance fertiliser and in autumn with low nitrogen. As a growing medium I use very open soil mix (cat litter mixed with composted pine bark and sharp river sand 1:1:1).

Larches respond to pinching new shots very well. I let them grow to about 50mm (2 inches) and pinch them back to about half way (it depends what i want to achieve). I carry on with this process during growing season and in autumn i have very dense branch structure and select branches which I want to keep

Hi all
Little summer update of my larch.
Tree was repot this spring to bonsai pot.
I had to reduce root ball on about 40-50% what was a benefit - less vigorous growth this season

Looks like it responded well to the repotting! Plus, it appears ready to go into more of a show pot at the next repotting.
