Repotting Japanese White Pines

Hallo, when is the correct time to repot white pines? Is it when there buds/candles starts to elongate?
Thanks

It depends on where you live. Generally just before buds start to move in late winter/early spring is the best time to repot.

Hallo Jonas,I’m living in South Afrika and Aug is the last month of winter here spring starts from Sep.On the tree are a thew duds that started to swell.

Based on the movement of the buds it may be getting a bit late, though if it’s a young tree it’s fine to repot now. Feel free to share a pic.

The roots often start growing just ahead of the buds moving which makes it a good time to repot.
