Looking for some direction in learning how to identify a Shimpaku from other junipers.
I live in So. Cal. And, I find myself looking at all sorts of potential plants to air layer.
But want to only air layer Shimpaku…
Thanks in advance,
The best way to identify shimpaku is to become familiar with them in person. Most southern California bonsai nurseries will have shimpaku - visiting one could be a good place to start. Chikugo-en is well-known for shimpaku bonsai, among other species.
