Turning trunks woody on umbrella tree forest

Does anyone know how to rush making the trunks woody instead of the green trunks.

Does anyone know of a Hawaiian site that might be able to help???

Not sure about schefflera in particular, but in general time and genetics are the two factors that lead to woody trunks.

Schefflera isn’t a tree so it will never have bark.

After reading your reply I did a search for images of Dwarf Umbrella palm bonsai and there are many bonsai with a very woody appearance.
