Tying down a grouping

(Bill Daniels) #1

Thank you for the lesson in tying down plants into pots. BUT with 4 wire holesI have 9 Cypress Hinkio that I want to do a grouping with. my pot is 24 x 18 How would you go about this task?

When preparing the pot, add extra wires so they come up from every drainage hole. The more holes the pot has, the easier this will be.

Another trick is to use chopsticks or similar items to hold trees in place. If you can arrange the chopstick so it holds down the roots you can then hold the chopsticks in place with the tie-down wires.

This may be tricky to figure out without photos - will look to post some when I can.
