I won this at our club auction - a few people were of the opinion it’s sick, but I believe it’s just variegated - anyone have a guess to variety? I’m keeping it out of direct sun because the white areas seem to get damaged easily.
This could be something like the dwarf golden hinoki, but it’s odd that all of the new foliage is green. It’s common for variegated hinoki to have yellow growth tips. I wonder if these new shoots will turn yellow in time. If so, it’s likely a variegated variety.
